Mr. Stone, a resident of Palm Harbor, holds an impressive banking career that has spanned 45 years with an extensive background in all facets of commercial banking, lending, marketing and strategic planning. He spent 35 years in executive management including holding the position of Executive Vice President of Bank of Clearwater and USAmeriBank. He served as President, CEO and co-founder of Citizens Bank & Trust, President and CEO of First National Bank of Florida and Liberty Bank, two of which were awarded 5 Star ratings by BauerFinancial.

Mr. Stone graduated from the
Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia. He is past Chairman of the Board of Ruth Eckerd Hall, Mease Health Care and the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce and remains active on various Boards including: Upper Pinellas Association of Retarded Citizens Foundation, Morton Plant Mease Health Care System, Clearpac Inc., and Long Center Foundation. Additionally, he is an active Committee Member of Baycare Health Systems and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Mr. Stone has been recognized by the City of Clearwater, FL, Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Clearwater Bar Association for extraordinary service to the Community.


A native of the Tampa Bay Area, Mr. Fleming joined NorthStar Bank with 16 years of banking experience, beginning with The Bank of Tampa in 1992 as Auditor/Compliance Officer.  In 1995, after the near-sale of the Bank, he began a 10-year consulting career with Stogniew & Associates, performing internal audits, loan reviews, and other engagements for community banks in Florida, California and New York.  Prior to joining NorthStar, Mr. Fleming was Chief Financial Officer at First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay.

Mr. Fleming graduated in 1985 from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Accounting and worked in public accounting at Dwight Darby & Company, CPAs in Tampa prior to focusing his career on banking.  Mr. Fleming is a Certified Public Accountant (1988) and Certified Internal Auditor (1994) and is a member of the Florida and American Institutes of CPAs.  His community involvement largely revolves around his children's schools (Roosevelt Dad's Club, Great American Teach-in, etc.).

Mr. Figlewski’s thirty plus years of commercial banking experience has concentrated in the Credit Risk Management arena of mid-sized regional banking institutions.

Prior to joining the team at NorthStar Bank, Mr. Figlewski served as a credit analyst, credit department manager, senior credit officer, executive risk manager, and enterprise risk manager for institutions with assets between $100 million and $5 billion.

Since 1994, Mr. Figlewski has resided in the Tampa Bay Region with his family. Mr. Figlewski received a BSBA degree in Economics from Bryant University and graduate studies in Finance from Western Connecticut State University.

With more than 20 years of banking expertise, Mr. Briggs brings to NorthStar a diverse background in banking services. He began his banking career at AmSouth, where he served as Commercial Loan Officer, Branch Manager and Vice President. His experience includes Huntington National Bank as Commercial Banking Officer and Vice President, Tampa’s South Trust Bank as Senior Vice President and Commercial Division Manager.
Mr. Brigg’s most recent position prior to joining NorthStar was as Executive Vice President and Commercial Banking Manager for Florida Capital Bank in Tampa.
A Business Management graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, Mr. Briggs is also an alumnus of the Florida School of Banking in Gainesville.
He is active in the Tampa community, including serving as a Board Member for Florida Blood Services and Leadership Board for the PODS Championship. Mike is also a member at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club.

Mr. Jacobsen joins NorthStar Bank from Merrill Lynch where he served as commercial banking specialist providing clients with commercial and investment banking products and services.  He has more than 25 years of commercial banking experience in Tampa, including business banking sales manager for Barnett Bank, office executive for The Bank of Tampa, and city president for AmSouth Bank.   

Mr. Jacobsen holds a BA degree from Dickinson College and is a graduate of the Stonier ABA Graduate School of Banking.  He is also a Certified Financial Planner.  

Active in the local community, he is a past chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay and serves on the Board of Directors for the Outback Bowl.  Mr. Jacobsen is also an alumnus of the Tampa Connection and Leadership Tampa.   

Ms. Lindsey has 15 years of banking experience and came to NorthStar Bank from Synovus Bank where she was most recently Senior Vice President, Regional Retail Manager. Prior to Synovus, Ty held sales and management positions with Regions Bank and Bank of America.

Ms. Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida.

She is very involved in the community and currently serves on the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Board, HCC’s Business Advisory Board, is an active member of High Hopes in High Heels and is involved in Leadership Tampa Bay. In her role as Retail Division Manager, she will manage the sales and service for retail offices and the bank’s marketing function.
