Mr. Jacobsen, a resident of South Tampa, is a banking veteran with over 30 years experience in the Tampa Bay market.  He joined NorthStar Bank in 2009 as the Commercial Banking Manager before being promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer in July, 2014 where he led the Commercial Banking Division as well as the overall operations of the bank. His previous experience includes commercial banking specialist at Merrill Lynch where he provided clients with commercial and investment banking products and services, commercial banking sales manager for Barnett Bank, where he was named Corporate Banker of the Year, office executive for The Bank of Tampa, and city president for AmSouth Bank.

Mr. Jacobsen holds a BA degree from Dickinson College, is a graduate of the Stonier ABA Graduate School of Banking and is also a Certified Financial Planner. Active in the local community, he is on the Executive Committee for the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay, an organization he has been involved with for over 20 years.  Mr. Jacobsen is past chairman of the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay.  Mr. Jacobsen previously served on the Executive Committee for Board of Directors for the Outback Bowl and is also past Board President for A Brighter Community Tampa Bay.  He is also an alumnus of the Tampa Connection and Leadership Tampa.

WM "Mac" Fleming

WM "Mac" Fleming

A native of the Tampa Bay Area, Mr. Fleming joined NorthStar Bank with 16 years of banking experience, beginning with The Bank of Tampa in 1992 as Auditor/Compliance Officer. In 1995, after the near-sale of the Bank, he began a 10-year consulting career with Stogniew & Associates, performing internal audits, loan reviews, and other engagements for community banks in Florida, California and New York. Prior to joining NorthStar, Mr. Fleming was Chief Financial Officer at First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay.

Mr. Fleming graduated in 1985 from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Accounting and worked in public accounting at Dwight Darby & Company, CPAs in Tampa prior to focusing his career on banking. Mr. Fleming is a Certified Public Accountant (1988) and Certified Internal Auditor (1994) and is a member of the Florida and American Institutes of CPAs. His community involvement largely revolves around his children's schools (Roosevelt Dad's Club, Great American Teach-in, etc.).

Ty Lindsey

Ty Lindsey

Ms. Lindsey has over 18 years of banking experience and came to NorthStar Bank from Synovus Bank where she was most recently Senior Vice President, Regional Retail Manager. Prior to Synovus, Ty held sales and management positions with Regions Bank and Bank of America. Ms. Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida.

Ms. Lindsey is highly involved in the community and takes great pride in giving back to local organizations throughout Tampa Bay. She currently serves on the Business Advisory Board of Hillsborough Community College, is an active member of the Crisis Center’s Women in Action group, a Plant High School Mentor, and a member of the Krewe of Tronando.  Ms. Lindsey is also an alumni of Leadership Tampa Bay 2014.

In her role as Chief Administrative Officer, she leads the Marketing department, IT, Information Security, Bank Security and Retail Deposit Operations.

Robert Shaw

Robert Shaw

Rob Shaw joined NorthStar Bank with over 19 years of commercial banking experience in Tampa Bay and comes to NorthStar Bank from USAmeriBank where he was most recently Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking. Prior to USAmeriBank, Mr. Shaw served as the Clearwater Regional Executive for Signature Bank.

Mr. Shaw holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.  He is also a 2008 graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Mr. Shaw’s experience includes a variety of leadership, strategic and external board positions. He is a founding and current board member of Mid County Cyclists of Tampa Bay, Inc., a multi-year Chairman and active participant in the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year Selection Committee and is actively involved in the Tampa Bay Ride to Defeat ALS. Mr. Shaw previously served on the boards of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Clearwater Branch of the YMCA of the Suncoast. He is also a past award recipient of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2009 Up and Comers award.

Gene Evans

Gene Evans

Retail Division Executive

Mr. Evans joined NorthStar Bank with more than 31 years of banking experience and comes to NorthStar from USAmeriBank where he served as the Retail Banking Director for the Florida Region.

Mr. Evans is active in the Tampa Bay community and is currently on the Board of the Community Housing Solutions Inc., Co-Chair of the Pinellas Partners for Moffitt and the President of the non-profit, Paddle Against Cancer.

In Mr. Evans’ role at NorthStar Bank, he is on the Executive Management team and plays an instrumental role in the overall growth and development of NorthStar’s retail offices.

Scott Muyskens

Mr. Muyskens joined NorthStar Bank with more than 24 years of banking experience and comes to NorthStar from Hinsdale Bank & Trust in Chicago, Illinois where he most recently served as the Credit Manager. Prior to Hinsdale Bank & Trust, Mr. Muyskens served as the Managing Director for The PrivateBank.

Mr. Muyskens holds a BSB in Business Administration a BGS in Economics from the University of Kansas and he received his MS in Finance from DePaul University.

In Mr. Muyskens’ role at NorthStar Bank, he is on the Executive Management team and is responsible for credit policy and loan administration.
